I don’t know about you, but I sure prefer to whip up my own spice blends at home, especially when the ingredient list is full of herbs and spices you already have in the pantry. That way I can control exactly what’s going into it and keep the sodium in check. This Homemade Greek Seasoning is one of those simple recipes that delivers big flavor with very little effort. With oregano taking center stage with a supporting blend of Mediterranean herbs and spices, it’s a seasoning you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.

Greek seasoning is known for its herb-forward flavor, and this homemade version captures everything we love about it. The combination of oregano, thyme, parsley, and basil creates a bright and earthy base, while garlic and onion powders add depth. A touch of cumin and cinnamon bring just enough warmth to round out the blend without overpowering it.

One of the best things about this seasoning mix is how versatile it is. Sprinkle it over chicken, pork, or fish before grilling, stir it into roasted vegetables, or use it to season potatoes before they go into the oven. It also makes a great addition to homemade salad dressings, marinades, and dips. Keeping a jar on hand makes it easy to add a little Mediterranean-inspired flavor to everyday meals.
