Our Kitchen Studio
The heart and home of 12 Tomatoes is our vibrant kitchen studio just outside of Seattle, Washington. By day, we use the space to create vibrant and enticing food content for our audience of over 10 million home cooks to enjoy. In our bright and airy space, our 12 Tomatoes chefs and content creators work with our video team to develop recipes and tell the stories that go with them.
By night and weekend, we host cooking class experiences through our partner business Table for 12 where guests receive hands-on instruction from one of our expert resident chefs. Not local to Seattle? No problem, we offer online cooking classes too.
Our Team
We have a diverse and multi-talented team of recipe developers, testers, food writers, photographers, and videographers who share one common goal: to inspire everyday cooks, every day. We know that simple food, made with love, is the best kind of food out there and we work everyday to help bring that joy right into your home kitchen, with no frills and no fuss.
Kristy started as a food editor with 12 Tomatoes in 2017, though she’s been working with our parent company Greater Good since 2007 in roles ranging from product copywriter to marketing manager. (Jack of all trades and all that.) When she’s not developing recipes or writing about food, you might find her in her garden, at the potter’s wheel, or tending to her sourdough starter. She loves cheese, historic homes, whales, and a great farmers market, though not necessarily in that order. Kristy studied Creative Writing at University of California, Santa Cruz. (Go banana slugs!)
Dom started with GreaterGood in 2022 as the general manager of our studio space, Table for 12, in downtown Edmonds while also working as a chef editor and media producer. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dom worked as a chef in high-end restaurants, selling homemade Italian bread, and in private dining for over 10 years. He’s a self-proclaimed mama’s boy from a bit Italian family and is a nerdy cinephile who’s obsessed with pop culture, video games, and curating his cute apartment here in Seattle.
Rose has been writing and creating content for 12 Tomatoes since 2016. She made her first quiche at age 10 and has been baking and cooking ever since. She has a fondness for historical methods of food production and for vintage ceramics. Rose is also a photographer and artist who enjoys sewing in her spare time.
Rachael has been with 12 Tomatoes since 2016, starting on the social media team and working her way to Director of Social Media. In recent years, she has shifted into more hands-on work in recipe development and video production. Born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, Rachael now calls Washington state home. Outside the kitchen you can find her rock climbing in the Cascades, carving her latest block print, or searching for Seattle’s best bowl of ramen.
Mark has been creating video and photo content for 12 Tomatoes since 2014, starting out as a video production coordinator, then the manager of video and eventually became the Director of Creative for 12 Tomatoes. He has created thousands of videos for 12 Tomatoes over the years, ranging from simple recipes to online classes to fun kitchen tips and tutorials. Mark grew up in the Pacific Northwest, studied in Paris, taught English in Korea, and went to grad school for cinema production in Chicago before making his way back to the lovely Seattle area where he now calls home. When he doesn’t have a camera in his hands, you’ll find him going on adventures with his wife and a goofy dog named Jet, traveling, cooking, playing with his cats, feeding his chickens, reading a good book or keeping up with his love of cinema.
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Claudia started with 12 Tomatoes in 2023 as a production assistant and now acts as a video producer, capturing content for our website and social media. Her passion for food content stems from her experience in lifestyle magazine work and advocating for a vegetarian lifestyle that she enjoys sharing with the 12 Tomatoes audience. Claudia received a degree in visual journalism at Western Washington University and now resides in Seattle. She spends her free time outdoors, shooting film photography, reading mystery novels, and eating at her favorite sushi restaurant.
