hawaiian pizza dip 4-min

Somehow pineapple on pizza has become one of the most polarizing topics of our generation. I, for one, think it’s delicious. The pizza place in my hometown makes the absolute best Hawaiian Pizza and it’s one of the treats I most look forward to on a trip home. Crispy bacon and ham, juicy pineapple, just the right kick of red onion, and plenty of cheesy– what’s not to love?

I’ve made a few Hawaiian Pizza Dips in the past, but they had been no-bake and I just don’t think a pizza dip is living up to its full potential without gooey melted cheese. And that is how the Baked Hawaiian Pizza Dip came about. It was an instant favorite in our house!

Judging from the ingredients list alone, I knew this dip was going to be good, but I was truly a little blown away by just how mouthwatering-delicious the final results were. I didn’t skimp on the cheese and it really paid off. The mozzarella and parmesan in the base of the dip turn into melty perfection, while the cheese on top brown to a delightful crisp. The pineapple slightly caramelizes and the ham provides the perfect crispy texture. A true masterpiece in appetizer form.

Bread or pita chips make for great dipping choices, but tortilla chips or crackers would also work well. Bring this dip to your next potluck, serve it up on gameday, or set it out as a fun app before dinner. Family and friends are sure to fall in love with this dish with the first bite. Embrace the tropics and give this easy Baked Hawaiian Pizza Dip a try!
