These Playoff Puffs encompass everything we love about game day food in one perfectly poppable bite-sized treat. Inspired by the flavors of the beloved jalapeno popper, this appetizer is a sure bet with a hungry crew. If you’re hosting or heading to a game-day get-together, this is the recipe to try. Be warned, they’ll be gone before the first quarter ends! And you only need a handful of ingredients to whip up a batch. Let’s get into how they’re made…
The base of the filling is a smooth blend of cream cheese, sour cream, and one egg (for a little puff!). Next, we turn up the heat with a few diced jalapeños for just the right amount of kick. Feel free to add another pepper or leave some of the seeds if you like it extra spicy. Toss in some bacon crumbles and a pinch of garlic powder for the finishing touch.
Add a generous spoonful of that creamy filling into each Scoop tortilla chip and sprinkle on a little parmesan. Pop those babies in the oven for just over 10 minutes or until they’re all puffed up and starting to turn golden on top. Playoff Puffs are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven while they’re still all warm and melty. So what are you waiting for, dig in!
