Oreo Shamrock Spread
A seasonal milkshake turned into a delightful dippable dessert spread!

A bit of the luck of the Irish is present when you make a batch of this Oreo Shamrock Spread! A base of whipped cream and cream cheese is the foundation for a bit of minty-chocolatey delight that perks up your tastebuds with a classic mint chocolate one-two punch of flavor.

You don’t have to wait long into the season before glimpses of green and shamrock-shaped goodies start making their way into the grocery store. While mint desserts are in no way associated with the Irish holiday commemorating Saint Patrick, a minty green dessert has been the way to make a Saint Patrick’s themed dessert here in the States.

Heavy cream is whipped in a separate bowl from the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mint extract and a bit of food coloring are added to the bowl with the cream cheese.

The whipped cream and crushed Oreos get folded into the cream cheese mixture, and then it’s ready to eat.

Oreo Shamrock Spread is a quick, perfect way to enjoy a bit of the holiday festivities without having to wait in line for a limited-edition food item.

It has the same taste and texture as the shamrock-themed drinks at chain restaurants and cafés but in a dippable, spreadable form! The spread is perfect smeared on breakfast goodies, cookies, fruit, and even Irish soda bread. It makes a great gift when put in a mason jar, especially any early spring get togethers!
