Yes, these will be garlicky! That’s part of their charm. A generous amount of fresh garlic and cream cheese, salt and Italian seasoning, and mozzarella cheese make up the filling.

Store-bought pizza dough is cut into 12 equal pieces and stretched to accommodate the scoop of the garlicy cream cheese filling. The filling is sealed by tucking the edges together and the roll is placed seam-side down into an awaiting muffin tin.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature (refrigerated (13.8oz) Pillsbury is fine)
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a muffin tin with butter or nonstick spray. Set aside.
  2. Beat the cream cheese with the minced garlic, half of the Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  3. Divide pizza dough into 12 equal portions. Working with one piece at a time, roll dough into a ball, then use finger to flatten and stretch it into a 4-inch circle. Repeat with remaining dough.
  4. Place some of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough round and top with some of the mozzarella.
  5. Fold edges of dough up and around filling, then pinch together to form a bundle. Place seam side down in a muffin tin.
  6. Stir garlic powder, remaining 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt into the melted butter, then brush over the dough.
  7. Bake until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Let rest until cool enough to handle.
  8. Serve with marinara if desired and enjoy!
