Scroll through your social media feed, and you’re guaranteed to come across wedding photos and videos. Even though you can’t put your finger on it, you can’t help but feel like they all have the same format. This man noticed the similarities between videos on social media and spoofed on wedding videos in the most ridiculous way!

Give a comedian a few minutes, and you get a good laugh, but give comedian Trey Kennedy five minutes, and you receive a goldmine of great, humorous content.

Noticing the format and tropes of weddings, he orchestrated an entire wedding ceremony, including the dress reveal, vows, parent meetings, and reception. The video’s cinematography is professional, with aerial views and shots of him with the bridal party.

In the video, he plays up the stereotypes of couples by acting as both the bride AND the groom. It wasn’t just his double role that got people laughing, it was his large group of friends and family who made the wedding look real. His mother’s acting during the dress reveal was quite natural and realistic. You may think Kennedy would want to shave his beard for the role of the bride, but he confidently plays a happy, glowing bride, beard and all.

The energy of the entire video checks all of the boxes of wedding stereotypes and overly happy, perfect couples, friends, and families, hopefully, we all get a good laugh from it!
