Unless you’re at a party or feeding a crowd, a pizza pie is inevitably going to have leftovers. While there are people who enjoy a cold slice of pizza standing in front of an open refrigerator, having the original tender chewy crust and gooey melty cheese is always optimal. Luckily, resurrecting leftover pizza is a breeze with this quick and easy hack.

Social media is a place buzzing with tons of tips and tricks, and this pizza one is no exception! Coming from the TikTok user dessert.hound, it’s super straightforward.

In a non-stick fry pan, set it over medium heat and place a slice of pizza into the pan. Take two ice cubes and place one on each side of the pizza.

The ice cubes will gradually melt, giving you enough time to cover the saucepan with a lid. The lid will capture the ice cubes’ steam as they gradually melt. Let the pizza cook covered for a few minutes, depending on the thickness of the crust and the amount of toppings it make take more time than a plain slice of pizza.

The result? Absolute perfection, as if it was straight from the hot pizza oven itself! The heat from the saucepan cooks the crust, giving it a crispy bite, and the steam from the ice cubes will heat up the cheese, sauce, and toppings with just enough heat and the right amount of moisture without drying anything out.
