Get a bit of spirited spookiness to your table! Here, ghost candles get their free-floating shape thanks to this simple trick.
Here, TikTok user rachel_meaders shows how a pack of plain $8 white candles can become a seasonal addition to your fall decoration.
Add water to a 9×13 baking dish and submerge the candles in the water. You might have to press them down into the water with your hands to prevent them from springing back up to the surface.
After a few minutes, remove one candle at a time from the water and gently bend them. Use a consistent force that will warp the candles without breaking them. Continue to do this with the rest of the candles and then lay them on a kitchen towel to dry completely.
Next, paint on their ghastly ghost faces with a bit of black paint.
Sitting in a candle holder, these ghost candles are so cute that you won’t want to actually use them!
Since they don’t stand straight up, you’ll want to put a heat-safe plate below them if you do want to light them.
