Such big fans that we decided to try our hand at making a Margarita Dip, and let me tell you… it turned out amazing! Whether you’re hosting a summer pool party or simply looking for a delicious new treat , this recipe is a must-try. It’s kid-friendly and sure to disappear faster than you can say Salud!

This dip might be even easier to whip up than the cocktail that inspired it. Start out by mixing a block of cream cheese until it’s nice and smooth. Then, add in a tub of cool whip and 1 ½ cups of cold milk and whisk it all together. Now for the flavor: pour in the lemon instant pudding mix, lime jello powder, salt, and lime zest. Whisk the mixture for a minute or two, transfer it to your serving dish, then pop the dip in the fridge for half an hour to set.

Once set, garnish the dip with more lime zest, lime slices, and flake sea salt for a real showstopper. We like to serve it with pretzels to go all in on the sweet & salty theme, but nilla wafers or fruit also make tasty dipping vehicles. Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ox) tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant lemon pudding
  • 1 (3 oz) box lime jello
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Zest of 1 lime, divided
  • Lime slices for garnish
  • Flake sea salt for garnish
Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk the cream cheese until smooth. Add whipped topping and milk, whisk until combined.
  2. Add in pudding mix, jello powder, salt, and half of the lime zest and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Transfer to desired serving dish and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Garnish with the rest of the lime zest, lime slices, and flake sea salt. Serve with pretzels, nilla wafers, or fruit.
