Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you’ve never had the opportunity to go to Disney before, it’s really something you should include on your bucket list. They provide an immersive experience that makes you feel as if you are part of whatever theme they have selected. The biggest and newest news is for Star Wars fans because Disney World has a Star Wars vacation package that is just what you need.

What Disney is offering is a two-night experience known as the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The plans were first released in 2019 and now the hotel is ready for a look behind-the-scenes.

Although the package only lasts for two nights and two days, it still brings you onboard the Halcyon, a luxury Star Wars cruiser (the hotel). In order to get the experience started, you will enter the hotel through “launch pods” that allow you to enter hyperspace without actually leaving Orlando. Guests will also experience even more as they stay in their Star Wars-themed cabins, interacting with each other, seeing Star Wars characters, and having some Star Wars dining.

The images that were shared were just to whet our appetites. They apparently don’t actually show the final rooms, they just show an indication of what they could contain. As you would expect aboard any starship, there is a minimalistic design for storage and sleeping arrangements. There is also a porthole that allows you to see the stars outside. This isn’t only a place to sleep, it is your command center as well.

A number of activities are available for those who take advantage of the experience. Perhaps they could go up against a “training remote” during a lightsaber training course. A visit to the bridge of the ship might also be something you would consider. As you explore the ship and all it has to offer, more and more secrets will become evident.

One thing that has not yet been announced is the price and availability. Disney is planning on opening the hotel in 2021, so let’s hope we can experience this for ourselves within the next year.
