Cherry Surprise
A quick and easy cake full of whipped cream and cherry delight.

What’s in Cherry Surprise?
Vanilla Cake Mix — You can change up the flavors; a chocolate cake version would give it a Black Forest sort of vibe.
Cream Cheese — This is the stabilizing base for the whipped topping.
Powdered Sugar — One cup is required, but you can reduce the amount of sweetness to suit your taste.
Heavy Cream — Cream gives the cake topping a great, fluffy contrast to the rich cake below.
Cherry Pie Filling — A quick shortcut, this canned pie filling is packed full of fruity flavor without the hassle of pitting the cherries or boiling them on the stovetop.

Once the cake is baked and cooled, the whipped topping gets spread on top, followed by the cherry pie filling.
Once you bite into it’s you’ll notice that Cherry Surprise is the perfect balance of cake to cream to fruit.

It has the fruity whipped levity of a long summer day, mimicking a strawberry shortcake without the heaviness of a biscuit shortcake.

This dessert is perfect for the warmer months, as it requires a spartan amount of preparation and gives instantly easy results. Honestly, it’s a quick way to get the taste of the summer, even when it’s not summer.

A sweet treat that’s even sweeter on the wallet and your time!
