Justin DePhillips
Chef Justin joined our Table for 12 culinary team in January of 2025 and serves as both a regular Chef Instructor and as the Culinary Administrator for the kitchen studio. At Table for 12, he works hand-in-hand with Executive Chef, Loren Larsen, to curate intimate and interactive dining experiences for our guests, and on the 12T side, he creates engaging and informative cooking content to share with our audience. He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and studied Computer Science at the University of Richmond before finishing his degree in Culinary Management at the now closed International Culinary School in Arlington, VA in 2011. He earned his stripes at various fine dining establishments in Washington DC before spending the next 11 years rising through the ranks of ThinkFoodGroup by José Andrés, where he achieved the title of Executive Chef at the age of 32. During this time he oversaw the opening and operations of five restaurants across the US before starting his own Private Chef and Consulting business in 2023 which he still operates in addition to his role at Table for 12 to this day. When he's not in the kitchen, you can find Chef Justin hanging (literally!) in the circus gym as an aspiring aerial straps artist, or off adventuring with his loving partner, Cassie and their German Shepherd, Zellie.
