How Do You Make Garlic Butter Chicken with Cheesy Breadcrumbs?

This dish comes together in a single pan!

Start by marinating your chicken breasts in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked sweet paprika. Set aside while you make the breadcrumbs.

Start with the breadcrumbs by preheating a large skillet over medium heat then adding in your butter and olive oil. Once melted and foamy, add the breadcrumbs and cook, stirring constantly, until they are golden brown and crisp. Remove them to a bowl and allow them to cool completely before stirring in the grated parmesan cheese.

Wipe out that same pan then return it to the heat with the remaining olive oil. Once the oil smokes slightly, add your chicken to the pan and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the pan and cover with foil while you make the sauce.

Lower the heat to medium low, add your butter, then toss in the garlic and Italian seasoning with a pinch of salt and sweat for 1 minute. Add your chicken broth and lemon juice and turn the heat up to medium high. Reduce by half, then add back in the chicken with any resting juices and baste. Turn of the heat, add your cold butter and swirl to emulsify. Serve right in the skillet or transfer to a dish and top with generous piles of the cheesy breadcrumbs.
