6 Crowd-Pleasing Holiday Desserts

There’s no doubt about it – we’re well into the holiday season. Before you know it, Thanksgiving will be here, then Christmas, and New Year’s. It seems we have an endless string of parties and get-togethers between family and friends wanting to celebrate. Instead of bringing the same old dessert, we decided to branch out and try a few fun holiday recipes to bring to the table. Literally. Go ahead and check out some of our favorite unique holiday recipes, and let us know which one is your favorite!

Praline Christmas Crack

So are you wondering what exactly is Christmas crack? Well, our version has saltine crackers as the base, with a homemade caramel sauce poured over them, sprinkled with pecans and then topped off with chocolate chips that get smoothed into a nice layer that seals in all the greatness. It’s like homemade toffee or some sort of brittle, but way easier and more flavorful – people beg us to make this every year! Get the recipe here!

Ginger Spiced Cupcakes

These spiced cupcakes are so good, it’s ridiculous; filled with spices that warm you from the inside and paired with a light whipped cream frosting, they’re absolute perfection! Whether you’re looking for a new recipe to sample for your own benefit, or looking for something to share with others, let this one be your pick. You’ll blow yourself away with the flavor, and the added seasonal cheer is just a perk! Get the recipe here!

Pistachio Cherry Fudge

Fudge is acceptable at any time of year in our household, but there’s something about the holidays that puts us into fudge overdrive and we start to get more creative with our chocolate combinations. We love all the classics – chocolate, sea salt, peanut butter, etc. – but this time we’re going above and beyond; cherry pistachio coconut fudge. Get the recipe here!

Caramel Walnut Tart

This tart uses walnuts for its nutty crunchiness, but you could use a combination of walnuts, pecans, and hazelnuts, or even almonds if you felt so inclined. An all-walnut filling, though, brings a butteriness to this tart that pecans or a mixture just can’t quite manage, so it really is worth a try.

The nuts are folded into a sweet and salty caramel filling, which tastes both richer and less cloying than the filling of its pecan pie cousin. Desserts that have that delicate balance of salty and sweet always seem to be just so irresistible… and this lovely tart is no exception! Get the recipe here!

No-Bake Eggnog Cheesecake

All right, so we can all agree on the fact that cheesecake is one of the best desserts out there, right? Anyone shaking their head no, we respect your opinion, but we’ll have to agree to disagree on this fact of life. Now what’s better than just a plain ol’ delicious cheesecake? A no-bake cheesecake! While you normally have to bake cheesecake for at least an hour, then let it cool fully in the oven (to prevent cracks!) and then put it in the fridge to chill, this recipe is different and amazing. Oh, and we forgot to mention, it’s also the perfect thing to make for the holidays, since this bad boy’s got eggnog in it! Get the recipe here!

Red And Green Christmas Crunch Cake

We get so excited each year to remake all our favorite holiday classics for our family, but each year we try to incorporate some new recipes into the mix to see what sticks and what our family requests we remake at next year’s gathering. This year’s successful new recipe was our Christmas crunch cake, which features honey-touched crunchy top and bottom layers – don’t even bother trying to stay clean while eating this, there are delicious crumbles everywhere and that’s okay – which sandwich a cream cheese and condensed milk filling that’s dotted with red and green nonpareils or sprinkles, making this perfect for Christmas!
