What does this dip have to do with football? Not a lot, except that it’s the perfect thing to serve on game day. And do you want to know why? Well, it’s very hearty, very delicious, very beefy, and it only takes five ingredients to make. Yes, just five. (That means it’s really easy too.)

What Do I Need To Make 5-Ingredient Football Dip?

  • Cream cheese
  • Ground Beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Any salsa you’d like
  • And cheddar cheese
  • That’s it!

How Do I Make 5-Ingredient Football Dip?

It’s so simple. The only cooking you need to do is to brown the ground beef in a skillet and then stir in the taco seasoning. (You can add a little water like the package indicates too to make the seasoning incorporate easier.)

And then you layer. Spread the cream cheese in the bottom of a baking dish or a pie plate, and then top that with salsa. Top that with the ground beef and then finish it off with the cheddar cheese.

And then you bake it. It’s that simple. The end result is ooey-gooey beefy cheesiness that’s buoyed up by a cream cheese base. It’s a layered dip — but not quite like any other one you’ve had before.

And trust me, it will get devoured in no time. You could use crackers for this but I think it’s pretty much made for tortilla chips. Enjoy!

    Ingredients
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning (or 1 packet)
    • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup salsa of choice
    • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
    • Tortilla chips, for serving
    Preparation
    1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
    2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain fat, if needed. Sprinkle in taco seasoning and let cook 1-2 minutes.
    3. In the bottom of a pie dish or baking dish, spread out the cream cheese in an even layer.
    4. Pour the salsa over the top. Spread ground beef over the top evenly, followed by the cheese.
    5. Cover dish with foil and bake until layers are heated through and cheese is bubbly, about 15 minutes.
    6. If desired, remove foil and broil for 2 minutes or so to brown cheese. Enjoy!
