Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

There is no denying it – 2020 has been one rough year. Many of us are looking towards the new year with hope and a desire to wipe the slate clean and start over. That is why this holiday season might be extra special for us in terms of wanting to make the best of a bad situation. With the current global pandemic, many of us might not be able to travel or gather with our families the way we would under normal circumstances. And so we find ways of keeping up with the holiday spirit despite the current climate. And what better way of feeling the Christmas vibes than marathoning all our favorite Christmas movies?

Turns out, this year, you can actually get paid to review Christmas movies! Reviews.org, a product review service, is looking for one lucky applicant to become their “Chief Holiday Cheermeister.” The fancy job title just means that you will have 25 days to watch 25 Christmas movies. Sounds easy-peasy and you get paid for it!

And the best part is that you get to decide which movies you will be adding to your watch list. But don’t worry if you don’t have a whole selection of Christmas movies already in your collection. Reviews.org will provide the successful applicant with a year-long subscription to a wide variety of streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Apple TV+, and Hallmark Movies Now. Reviews.org will give the lucky applicant a list of Christmas movies to choose their line up from and will even allow for some exceptions as New Year-centric movies still count as Christmas movies.

The actual job itself is actually pretty simple as you complete a quick survey on each film, along with your thoughts on each. And once you’ve made your way through all 25 movies, you will receive your compensation which is a cool $2,500! That definitely will make someone’s Christmas very merry. And the cherry on top is that once you’re done, you will still be able to avail of all the streaming subscriptions for the rest of the year!

Of course, there are some stipulations to being able to apply. For starters, you need to be 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S. You will also have to say in 200 words or less, why you should be their Chief Holiday Cheermeister. And all you need to provide on the application is your name and email address. Loving Christmas movies isn’t even a requirement, but we’re sure it probably helps.

Applications for the role of Chief Holiday Cheermeister are open now until Friday, December 4th. Then, on Monday December 7th, Reviews.org will reveal the winner in a video on their YouTube Channel. They will then email the winner with the job details. Sounds very exciting! I just might throw my hat in the ring since I love watching Christmas movies. To apply, you can click here.
