Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

We live in times that are desperate for some individuals. They need to find a way to make ends meet, and Aniah Warne has done this in a unique way.

She recently went on TikTok and shared her home situation with the world. The 21-year-old lives in Boise, Idaho, and rather than going out on her own, she decided to live in her parent’s backyard in a shack.

This isn’t just your average shack where they keep the lawn equipment. She has made it a beautiful and comfortable setup. According to the Daily Mail, she has almost everything you would need for living, including a place to sleep, a place to lounge, and a mini fridge.

Although she may have some of life’s necessities in the shed, she does have to go out to use the bathroom, and she doesn’t have a kitchen. Fortunately, the shed is close to her parent’s home.

She lives in the shed, and she appreciates it but she share that she moved to Utah to go snowboarding, so money can’t be too tight. It isn’t clear if she is going to come back to the shed when spring comes, but we can be sure it will be waiting for her when she needs it.

Of course, many people had questions about how she went to the bathroom and did other things in the shed, so she posted a follow-up video:

She said that she only has to walk about 10 feet inside her parent’s home and there is a bathroom and kitchen ready.

People were interested in what she had to say, and millions of people watched the videos. Perhaps that is because many of us would like to live so simply.

Warne can enter her shed through one of two different doors, including the one that opens fully to allow sunshine into the room. She has a chair, a TV, a desk, and many plants.

Something else that surprised many people was the fact that she didn’t have to deal with bugs. It certainly would make living so simply a little more pleasant.

She said: “Bugs aren’t bad, especially when the doors are shut.”

She went on to say how she grew up in the mountains on 24 acres of property. It gave her the experience necessary to live in a luxury shed a few feet from her parent’s home. It’s not out of necessity, but it’s neat nonetheless.
