Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Homemade desserts are awesome, right? When it comes to these recipes, we live by one very simple motto: The easier the recipe, the more excited we are. After all, no one wants to spend the whole day standing over the oven to prepare treats that are going to be scarfed down within minutes. And, the easier the recipes are, the more likely we are to take the time to make them.

Thankfully, baking powder and bulky mixers are not needed here. This Oreo microwave mug cake can be made with just two ingredients – milk and Oreos.

We promise, there are no secret ingredients that you need to be aware of. To get started, simply grab a handful of Oreos and place them in your mug of choice. For best results, use between 6 and 8, depending on the size of your mug.

Then, take the milk and fill the mug up halfway. Grab a fork and crush up the Oreo cookies into smaller chunks, making them more manageable. Continue the stirring and smashing process until you have made yourself a smooth batter. The batter should still have some visible Oreo chunks, though.

Finally, place the mug inside of the microwave and set the time for 1 to 2 minutes. Be sure to keep a close eye on the mixture as it cooks.
