Halloween is a magical time of year. Not only is it the height of autumn, but it also is the kick-off to the whole holiday season with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year following in a rather quick succession afterward.

But perhaps the most entertaining part of Halloween is all the decorations. Pumpkins abound with ghosts and ghouls, as do witches and black cats. Of course, you can’t forget the cobwebs galore as well! However, the most iconic part of Halloween and its decorations are the lights. Most of us think of Halloween lights as jack-o-lanterns with candles that light up the night.

But no one has Halloween theatrics down quite like Tom BetGeorge of Magical Light Shows.

Each year, he goes all out on his Halloween decorations that show immense creativity. He does it using thousands of lightbulbs – we’d hate to see his electric bill! Still, the fabulousness of his creations at 15 Phillips Court in Tracy, California are a definite treat of the season.

For example, he used the vocal tracks from the final scene of “The Matrix,” as well as the song “Wake Up” by Rage Against the Machine, and then coordinated a light show to go along with it.

As fantastic as it all looks, there is actually something quite charitable about his displays. As he has explained, all the money he raises from his light shows goes on to profit the McHenry House – a local shelter dedicated to helping homeless families.

Tom explained, “I made this show as a free event for the community and as fundraiser for the McHenry House, a local family shelter here in Tracy.”

Now that is definitely a worthy cause that we can get behind!
