While it is easy enough for many of us to handle these types of projects on our own, there is something to be said for the extreme importance of taking the proper measurements.
Now, Keen is looking to share all of the following hacks, so that you do not have to struggle when it comes time to handle a project of this nature. These are the hacks that he uses when he is in the process of designing skateboard ramps. Before you ask, they are perfect for a wide range of projects and not merely designed to make the ramp designing process easier.
“Four things you didn’t know about your tape measure,” Cory says as the video begins.
From there, he starts to list off all of the things that we were blissfully unaware of. When we call this video a game changer, this is not something that we take lightly. For starters, he shows the audience that they can use the body of the tape measure when they are in the process of taking their measurements.
“There’s a number on the back or the side of your tape measure,” he shares, as he shows the audience his tape measure. “In this case, it’s three and a half inches. That is exactly how big the tape measure is.” This information is particularly useful to the DIY crowd when they are taking their interior measurements.
“Instead of bending your tape and getting an approximate measurement, you’re able to pull to the top and then use the dimensions of your tape measure,” he continues.
