Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

This psychotherapy student has taken to TikTok to impart some of her wisdom. If you are someone who thinks that your partner could be cheating (or you are just curious), this is a great video to watch.

This particular clip focuses on the interactions that take place between avoidant and anxious types when they are in relationships with one another.

The idea of “triangulation” is also discussed by @restoringrelationships, who is here to explain this concept to anyone who is looking to learn more.

“Today we’re doing attachment 101 and how to predict if your partner is going to cheat on you,” she says at the start of the clip. “And before I get into it, this is very general so take what you like and leave the rest.”

You will need to watch the whole video if you would like to learn more about the concept, but we think it’s well worth the time. All that we can say for sure is that we will be avoiding the avoidant types going forward. This sounds so simple but it is something that we did not always take the time to consider in the past.

There’s something about being able to step outside of yourself and view your relationship through an impartial lens. For many of us, this is the hardest aspect of the equation. It is never easy to take a long look at your connection with someone, especially if you feel like things might not be moving in the right direction.

This guide is here to help you through it and we are beyond happy to share it with our readers. Let’s face it, relationships can be hard sometimes. In many instances, love is simply not enough.

Healing for anxious attachments is expressing needs + getting support (which is v different than triangulating!) & for avoidants it’s leaning into connection #cheating #attachment
