Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

We’ve all had to send people birthday cards or get well soon cards, but that can be kinda boring. How much more fun would it be to send someone a message written on a real-life potato?

Yes, there is now a service that allows you to send any message or picture you want to anybody you choose. It even gets a stamp and the address written on it!

Sure, you could go to the store and buy a potato, write a message on it, lick a stamp, and drop it off at the post office. But who has time to do all that?

Save yourself the trip by using a personalized potato mailing service that is available on Amazon.

All you have to do is place your order and let the professionals get to work.

The service uses ‘top quality 5″ Idaho Potatoes and premium black gel ink’, and costs $16.99.

Sounds like a lot of money, but the reviews have been pretty awesome so far: BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT I’VE EVER GIVEN! I sent it to my best friend & she called me as soon as she got it to say how much she loved it. Showed & told everyone she could about it. Only downside was they misspelled a word that I’d sent them the correct spelling for. Overall it was a great funny gift & would 100% buy it again.

If you don’t let them know your message, they will mail your spud within 3 days along with the default message “Here’s your potato”.

They don’t allow ‘no name-calling or bullying’ on the potatoes, so you’re better off sending it yourself if you wanna be spiteful.
