Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If there is one thing we know about giving an opinion online, it’s the fact that everybody else is going to have an opinion as well. Perhaps that is what one woman was counting on when she posted her list of 13 wedding rules, and boy, were they strict!

Even though she isn’t engaged, Kennedy Marks posted a video on TikTok along with a screenshot. It was entitled “Wedding guest rules” and millions of people have viewed it since it was posted.

According to Marks, she has been planning a wedding since she was 8-years-old so she feels as if the list she has accumulated is spot on. She also admits that her boyfriend isn’t itching to pop the question, and he also doesn’t know about her rules.

Marks admits that the rules may seem harsh to some, but considering the fact that weddings are expensive, she feels that she has every right to be a perfectionist.

The first rule in her list of wedding rules is that the bride is the only one who wears white. She claims that she has invited you to the day and is paying the money, so you should respect that she is the only one to have white on.

This is especially true of the bridesmaids, who are told that if they come wearing white, they will have a bottle of red wine poured on them.

The second rule is that she must approve all children coming to the wedding.

You also shouldn’t assume that you can bring someone to the wedding just because you’re invited. She doesn’t want to have to pay for an extra guest that she wasn’t expecting.

As far as the fourth rule is concerned, she considers it to be huge. There are no announcements to be made at the wedding, including engagement or pregnancy announcements. In her words: “Please, for the love of God, do not take the attention away from me.”

She went on to explain the rules to the point where she ran out of time. Fortunately, she made a follow-up video that explained the rest.

Some of these rules included not stressing her out, not allowing boring people, and only those who are willing to get up and dance with her should be allowed to attend.
