This mother is definitely winning a lot of cool points with us. When Taylor Swift’s Eras tour started, parents were left in a difficult position. The anxiety that they felt is palpable.

It was going to be very hard to come through for their kids. The mother in this story did her daughter one better. She got her tickets and she also provided her teacher with a hilarious e-mail.

In order to attend the concert, her child would have to miss school. That was no big deal to this mother. The e-mail that she wrote to the teacher is also a must-read. Karen Vladeck let the school know that she would not be present on April 24 because of the tour.

On top of that, she even peppered the e-mail with Taylor Swift references to truly drive the point home and she shared the email on Twitter. “It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me,” the subject line reads. From there, the note only gets more and more unhinged. You see, she is not like the other moms. She is a cool mom!

“Dear Reader [Ms. Parks], I’m writing to let you know that Maddie won’t be in school on 4/24 because she is going to the Taylor Swift concert in Houston,” the e-mail continues.

“I hope missing school doesn’t ruin her otherwise stellar Reputation, but she begged me to go and maybe I Should Have Said No but I didn’t want to be Mean. So It Goes…Anyway, I hope this doesn’t leave any Bad Blood between you and Maddie and that things for the rest of the year are not Treacherous,” Karen went on to say.

“I know I Did Something Bad and I promise this will be The Last Time she has an unexcused absence before the Cruel Summer starts. Forever & Always, -Karen Vladeck,” the letter concludes.

This letter made our day and as it turns out, it made the teacher’s day as well! Karen shared on Twitter that the teacher replied, saying: “THIS MADE MY ENTIRE DAY.”
