Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you’ve ever been out golfing with friends, you realize that it isn’t all about the game. It’s also about enjoying some adult beverages and perhaps a little food as you go about playing. If you happen to be on Michael Jordan’s official golf course, this is done in a unique way.

Thanks to a video, we all get a view of how The Grove XXIII delivers the beverages and food to those who are playing. It is done by means of a black drone, that hovers with the snacks above the fairway and eventually, slowly lowers it to the golfers who are eagerly waiting for their prize.

According to USA Today, NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin said: “The course was unbelievable. There’s only 75 members. Hopefully to be 76 here in the next few weeks, so it was really an honor to be invited and be a member at such an exclusive place. It’s really new, just a few months old. It’s going to be fun to do for the next 20 to 30 years, as long as I’m able to play.”

The golf course has only been open for a little over a year, but it offers some amazing amenities to its members. NBWW architectural firm designed the clubhouse, including 15,000 ft.² of locker room space, a pro shop, lounging areas, and a dining room.

According to the architectural company’s website, “We wanted the precision and flow of the golf swing as well as Michael’s athleticism and corporate finesse to inspire the contemporary form and detailing of the clubhouse architecture.” Golf Digest also reports on the course, saying that it has a “double-helix routing.” In other words, there are four different nine-hole combinations that can be played, as well as three to six-hole loops.

It is said that the course is wider when you hit shorter. They also redo the pins and tees daily, so you can play along if you like. Of course, Michael Jordan plays from the back tees.
