A car crash video from Kuwait’s Abu Al-Hasaniya beach shows a man’s dramatic survival after being ejected from a somersaulting 4WD vehicle.
The smartphone footage captures a Toyota FJ Cruiser driving recklessly along the beach where the water meets the shore. After losing control at the water’s edge and tailing sideways, the vehicle flipped wildly, violently ejecting the driver into the air, and then the water.
The 34-year-old driver of the 4WD – who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt – bobbed up in the water meters away from his totaled car. He immediately hobbled to the shore, where onlookers on the beach rushed to his aid.
The driver reportedly escaped with unspecified minor injuries.
