Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you are the type of person who does not take the time to wash your makeup brushes on a regular basis, this is your chance to remedy that.

We are here to provide you with an important crash course on the importance of handling this duty. Most of us know that we are supposed to do clean our makeup brushes but we fail to handle this task as often as we should.

What we did not know was that this simple act of forgetfulness can have real consequences. Louaira (she goes by @louaira on TikTok) shared a video with her followers. She was starting to have a number of breakouts on her face.

Once she realized that they were not acne breakouts, she initially assumed that they were burn marks of some kind.

That did not allow her to solve the mystery, though. Even if they were burn marks, she had no idea what was causing them. She shared on TikTok that she went to the doctor and they had no idea what was happening, either.

The marks started to worsen and they were mostly located by her mouth and chin. From there, her followers started doing their best to guess what was going on.

“Eczema looks like that idk about the pain but tho I just get darker patches,” one viewer guessed. “Could it be a virus? My mum had something like this just appear,” someone else wrote. “That is ringworm. How do the drs not know that. Wow.” another viewer stated far more confidently. It turns out that the last person was the correct one.

Louaira tried out a number of different skin treatments and went to the dermatologist’s office more than a few times.

Eventually, she came back and told her followers that the skin condition was, in fact, a case of ringworm. “Got a case of ringworm,” she said.

She also showed everyone how the outbreak started to worsen and multiply.

Viewers who have been through the same thing tried their best to empathize with her. “i got ringworm on my arm last summer! I know it sounds self-explanatory but don’t forget to change out your wash rags and towels every couple uses!” someone else told her.
