It should go without saying, but grass is a fairly common feature when it comes to most lawns. If you are anything like us, you probably spend a lot of time making sure that your grass is truly beautiful. Green grass is a great way to add curb appeal to your home.

In many locations, it is easy for Americans to obtain the green grass that they want because they receive the proper amount of precipitation. There are others who are not nearly so lucky.

Sprinklers and hoses are needed to tend to the grass in these instances. Unless the grass is watered, it is going to turn brown and die off pretty quickly.

However, Twitter user @thesun shared a hack for having green grass year-round without wasting water and some people think it’s genius. Check it out below:

There is an organic green paint, called green turf paint, that can be used to keep lawns looking fresh. It creates an immediate transformation that cannot be matched.

Some people are really into the idea, and point out the water-saving benefits. However, the idea did receive some valid criticism.

One person wrote: “Maybe instead of painting plants that can’t survive where you live you could just plant nice looking native plants that are less maintenance and good for the environment.”

Another said, “Why tf would anyone do this? Much better to have a wildlife area, native plants for pollinators, or even a vegetable garden.”
