January and February can be very cold and depressing months. But bringing some warmth and light to the winter days is the start of Girl Scout Cookie season in February! Post holidays see many local Girl Scout troops taking over neighborhoods and grocery store parking lots to peddle their renowned cookies.

But this year, instead of having to go out in search of Girl Scouts and their cookies – or waiting at home hoping they come knocking on your door – you have a much more convenient option for purchase: online delivery!

Thanks to technology, Girl Scout season this year for 2022 will be that bit more delicious. Starting in February, Girl Scouts are partnering with DoorDash to make your cookie buying needs that bit more efficient and simple. With a simple click of your mouse, you can have your favorite flavors of Girl Scout cookies delivered right to your door.

While the Girl Scouts will be using DoorDash as a means of delivery, that doesn’t mean that local scouts have surrendered all control. They simply wanted a new means of getting their products out to the world, and the company’s executives were only happy to accommodate them.

In fact, DoorDash’s vice president of strategic partnerships and business development, Shanna Prevé, issued a press statement that read, “As a Girl Scout Cookie lover myself, I am so excited to welcome Girl Scouts of the USA to our platform, providing a fast and convenient option for customers to access beloved Girl Scout Cookies on-demand, while empowering Girl Scouts to meaningfully grow their cookie businesses. Through this collaboration, we aim to provide access and opportunity for Girl Scouts, while providing their neighborhoods with safe, efficient, and enjoyable ways to support their local troops.”

The Girl Scouts might have been around for a while, but their brand is learning to adapt to an ever-changing world of advancing technology – plus, the recent COVID-19 pandemic which has made social distancing a priority. The ability to deliver their cookies on demand is just another way that they’re able to meet the demand for cookies while still being safe, explained the interim Girl Scouts USA CEO, Judith Batty.

According to the Washington Times, Batty explained, “In 2021, Girl Scouts created new ways to be successful in their cookie businesses so they could continue to use their cookie funds to power experiences like camp, troop activities and service projects in their communities.”

There are multiple ways now to get your hands on the famed Girl Scout cookies, and here are the methods below:

The most obvious one is to get in touch with a Girl Scout if you know someone who is a Girl Scout.

Go to DoorDash.com or download the app in order to see if there is the on-demand delivery available in your area. If not, check for a local troop in your vicinity and get in touch regarding cookie sales.

As of February 18th, if you enter your zip code into the official online Girl Scout Cookie Finder, it will tell you where to go to purchase cookies. Additionally, you can also choose to have some cookies donated to local first responders or other charitable organizations.
