Whether you are someone who regularly attends weddings or you have never been to one, you are probably well aware of the flower girl tradition.
It’s been a tradition for centuries now and it does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. However, this Miami couple has decided to flip this tradition on its ear, providing a new and modern twist for us to enjoy.
They decided against the idea of having young children pass out flower petals. Instead, they had “Fireball fairies” and those who are fans of the liquor are sure to find this one hilarious.
Some of the guests were handed miniature bottles of the whiskey, much to their delight. Don’t worry, they did not have children passing out the drinks. Two women in brightly colored outfits were walking down the aisle with mini coolers full of adult beverages.
The dresses are bright red and as if that were not enough, they even took shots in front of the entire congregation. “Fireball fairies > Flower girls,” it reads in the video.
The ceremony looks like it was a lot of fun but you know how the internet likes to do things. They are the first to lose their minds and start being haters. In our minds, you only get to have one great wedding and it should be everything that you want it to be. The haters should not feel so comfortable talking like this about other people’s special days.
There were a lot of comments that called the decision a “tacky” one. At the end of the day, it is their wedding and it seems they had fun. It’s not like everyone needs to have a traditional wedding because the internet says so. It’s the perfect opportunity to simply do you and have the day you deserve.
When it comes to weddings, there is just one hard and fast rule that needs to be followed. The bride is the one that needs to be kept happy. As the commentators pointed out, the bride was clearly on board with this one and that’s all that matters.
