You might think of the dollar store as a place to get cheap party favors, office supplies, and other random items, but there are actually quite a few hidden gems if you know where to look! For example, cleaning supplies. Why spend a fortune on name brand products when the dollar store version works just as well for a fraction of the cost? Let’s take a look at the most underrated and overlooked cleaning products at the dollar store right now!

Brillo Basics

Do you have burnt pans that just won’t get clean? Don’t toss them out just yet! There’s an easy, cheap way to get rid of the most stubborn of stains – Brillo pads! These steel-wool sponges work miracles on dirty pots and pans. Just wet them down and scrub away!

Window Cleaner

The LA’s Totally Awesome Window Cleaner is comparable to Windex, but comes at a much lower cost. At Dollar Tree, you can purchase a large refill bottle for super cheap! The standard size for window cleaners is around 48 ounces, but the refill bottle is 64 ounces! Go ahead and grab a few of these while you’re at it, and you’ll have a whole year’s worth of window cleaner for only a few dollars!

The Home Store brand of furniture polish is comparable to Pledge, but again, is much cheaper. Go ahead and grab a can of this stuff next time you’re at Dollar Tree and see for yourself!

Toilet Cleaner

No one likes cleaning the toilet, but it’s a necessary evil. While nothing can replace an all-over scrub down of the porcelain throne, there are some products out there that can help keep the toilet clean for longer so you don’t have to do the dirty work as often. Ty-D-Bowl is one such product. You simply attach it to the inside of your toilet bowl and let it do its thing! Each flush pushes some of the product through the toilet system, keeping it clean for up to 300 flushes.

Bathtub Cleaner

Here’s another great bathroom cleaning product – Super Oxygen. This foaming cleaner goes on purple and then turns white as it cleans, letting you know it’s time to wipe it off. It works wonders for tubs, sinks, and other porcelain surfaces around the house.
