No pups should be forced to spend their days outside in the cold, covered in mud. But that was the reality of a litter of puppies in Puerto Rico.

The little pups were cowering and shaking when rescuers with Love Of All Dogs arrived and found them. The rescuers knew the puppies needed help ASAP and quickly got them to the vet.

However, the mama dog was going to take more work. She was so afraid of people, they couldn’t catch her at first. But they were determined to reunite her with her pups and kept working on earning her trust.

Finally, they caught the mama dog, who they named Snow, and drove her to her puppies. They were all given a clean bill of health and much-needed baths, but Snow was still incredibly wary of people.

Their foster family worked long days and nights, caring for four female puppies and their mom. Slowly, Snow began to open up to being pet and receiving some affection from the people around her. It wasn’t long before she was ready to move into a more permanent foster home in New York City!

All of the dogs were flown out of Puerto Rico and into NYC to find forever homes in the U.S. It was a long journey, but one that was well worth it in the end.

All of the dogs, including Snow, found a happily ever after of their own.
