Cheesecake Fruit Salad

Sometimes you get a craving to have fruit for dessert, but maybe it doesn’t feel fancy enough. This cheesecake fruit salad solves this problem without making too complicated of a dish. You see the thick, creamy “dressing” for the salad is so tasty, yet so easy to make that it takes hardly any time ay all. And since it has minimal added sugar it’s never too sweet, just like a good cheesecake.

Real cream cheese and lemon juice make this dessert taste like a no-bake cheesecake, but it takes even less effort to make (if you can believe it).

Cheesecake Fruit Salad

This dessert almost reminds me of an old school ambrosia recipe, this kind that were so popular to bring to picnics and potlucks back in the day. But, this one is made with less sugar and no coconut or nuts or Jell-o and uses all fresh fruit.

While you could use a mix of canned and fresh fruit, I prefer this dessert salad with only fresh as it tastes much more lively and gives a bit more tartness to offset the cool cream.

Cheesecake Fruit Salad

First you’ll need to assemble the fruit. I choose a few “contained” fruits like green grapes and blueberries to go with my cut fruits of pineapple and strawberries. Keep in mind that any cut fruits will spoil faster, so I wouldn’t choose all strawberries for instance. I love the variety of having lots of different colors together in one bowl, too.

If you are using a lot of fresh fruit you can wait to mix everything together until you’re ready to serve to make sure it’s as fresh as possible.

Cheesecake Fruit Salad

This is such an easy recipe and it has the taste of cheesecake in every refreshing bite. You won’t find a more delicious dessert that’s this easy to make!
