Sweet and spicy pretzels 11-min

I do not understand people that don’t snack. I love a snack. The salty ones, the sweet ones, the crunchy ones, and the chewy ones– I do not discriminate. And I think we can all agree that there’s nothing better than a homemade snack. These Carolina Spiced Pretzels are just that, an easy homemade treat that will keep everyone coming back for another handful!

The great thing about homemade snacks is that you know what’s going into them. Even if there’s sugar and salt in the recipes, you still have control over how much and are avoiding all the extra additives that sneak their way into processed foods. These pretzels are sweetened with maple syrup and brown sugar and then spiced up with a little cayenne pepper and garlic powder. They bake up in less than half an hour and you can dig in as soon as they’re cool enough to handle.

If you aren’t eating the pretzels right away, you’ll want to let them fully cool and then store them in a ziplock bag or airtight container. They make the perfect tailgate or party treat and folks are bound to be impressed when they find out you made them yourself. Give these Carolina Spiced Pretzels a try and see if you don’t just have a new favorite recipe!
