The months of January and February can be a little bleak. It’s right in the dead of winter, the fun of the holidays has worn off, the days are still dark and cold – it’s not the most cheery time of year.

But there is a little glimmer of hope on the horizon: Cadbury Creme Egg season is right around the corner.

If you live in the UK then you’re well aware of the wonderful time of year when the company’s trademark chocolate creme eggs return to store shelves. But this year, there is a little bit of a twist, one that seems like it was plucked straight from the pages of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

Cadbury has announced that they will be rolling out their eggs like usual, however, there is a twist as some of these eggs being sold will be rare ones that can be redeemed for prizes up to as much as $13,500!

As Ad Week reports, Cadbury has distributed 146 half white chocolate and half milk chocolate creme eggs to various UK grocery stores. Customers won’t know whether or not they’ve gotten one of these special eggs until they’ve unwrapped it.

But there is a catch in order to claim their prize: They can’t eat it. The new ad campaign humorously highlights the struggles of Cadbury fans having to choose between getting money or getting to eat their chocolate egg.

The cash value of these special eggs can vary from just $67 to $13,500. Should a lucky customer find one of these eggs and want to claim the prize, they should get in contact with Cadbury and provide them with the date and location of the purchase, as well as the code that comes with the winning egg.
