Self explanatory recipe. It’s crushed up butterfingers tossed with peanut butter coated Chex that brings an extra crunch to every bite. This is no ordinary puppy chow. Each piece of puppy chow end up clustering together from all the crushed Butterfinger pieces. It’s AWESOME! This could be a great gift in a little goodie bag for birthday parties or assorted in little muffin liner so they look nice. They taste absolutely delicious! Can we ever have enough puppy chows in the world?

I tested this recipe by crushing the butterfingers in a food processor to yield tiny Butterfinger clusters. You can also easily break up your candy bars using a Ziploc bag and a rolling pin. Next time, I’ll break up the candy in bigger pieces so the puppy chow has this big bite of Butterfinger.

Melt the butter, milk chocolate, and peanut butter over a double boiler. This mixture will be pretty hot, so as soon as it melts remove it from the heat to start cooling it down. Pour the slightly cooled peanut butter mixture into the cereal and toss using a spatula. Once everything is fully coated, add the butterfingers pieces and powdered sugar. Toss everything together and there you go.

Serve this puppy chow as soon as it cools or store it in air-tight container for up to two weeks. This recipe comes together in less than 15 minutes and takes another 15 minutes to cool. A peanut buttery treat in just a half an hour. The puppy chow even tastes better as it sits ..and I ate WAY TOO MUCH of it.
