Ingredients
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup butter, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Trim excess fat from chicken and season all sides with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a large cast iron skillet (or other oven-safe skillet), add half the butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, add chicken and sear each side for about 3 minutes or until golden. Use tongs to place chicken on a plate, then set aside.
  4. Add remaining butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic, brown sugar, oregano, and thyme. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  5. Use tongs to place chicken back in skillet and spoon garlic sauce over the top.
  6. Bake chicken for 25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  7. Spoon sauce over chicken and serve right away.
