I am a big fan of pretty much all apple baked goods and this Applesauce Honey Cake in particular is on a regular rotation. It’s the kind of recipe that fits right into a fall afternoon, but honestly, it’s welcome any time of year. This Applesauce Honey Bread is soft, warmly spiced, and lightly sweet, with a cozy flavor that makes your kitchen smell incredible while it bakes. It’s simple, familiar, and just the sort of loaf you’ll want on a cozy day.

The ingredients are pantry basics, which makes this an easy recipe to pull together without much planning. Applesauce keeps the bread extra moist, while honey adds a little sweetness that pairs perfectly with the cinnamon and ginger. Creaming the butter, sugar, and honey first helps create a smooth batter, and adding the eggs one at a time keeps everything well blended.

Once the batter is mixed, it goes straight into the loaf pan and into the oven. As it bakes, the top turns golden and the inside stays tender and soft. If the edges start to brown too quickly, a loose tent of foil does the trick. A toothpick test near the end lets you know when it’s ready, and the hardest part is waiting long enough for it to cool before slicing.

This bread is perfect served plain, with a little butter, or even with a drizzle of extra honey. It works just as well for breakfast as it does for an afternoon snack or simple dessert. If you’re looking for a dependable, homey loaf that everyone will enjoy, this Applesauce Honey Bread is one you’ll come back to again and again.
