As inflation continues to surge, grocery stores and their customers are bracing themselves for the worst as Thanksgiving draws closer and closer.

There are lots of folks out there who wish that they could go back to 2019 and Aldi’s is looking to make that dream come true, even if it is just for one day. Wait until you see what they have planned for their customers!

According to Fox9, Aldi has decided to discount all of the staple Thanksgiving foods so that the prices match what they were in 2019. The grocer says that this is all part of their Thanksgiving Price Rewind promotion.

Various holiday food prices will be slashed, including appetizers, desserts, sides and beverages. “Providing amazing products at the absolute lowest prices is what we’ve always done, and we know right now that’s more important than ever,” says the president of Aldi US, Dave Rinaldo, according to ABC News. We still cannot believe how fast the price of food has risen in the past year.

Since September of last year, the consumer price index shows that these prices have risen by a whopping 11 percent. This puts a tremendous strain on families that are looking to get together and enjoy a great meal this Thanksgiving. The costs at food at home, i.e., grocery store shopping, have actually risen even higher. They are 13% higher than they were at the same time last year.

According to ABC News, with 2,200 stores across 38 states, Aldi’s serves a very important function. They are highly committed to remaining at the top of the list for those who are in search of low-cost groceries during the upcoming holiday season. According to a recent statement, the company has vowed to “continue to be the low-price leader in every community it serves”.

That is great news for anyone who is in search of holiday meals that will not break the bank this year. It is always nice to highlight the companies that are willing to provide respite to the rest of the world, especially during a time that is fraught with worry. Kudos to the good folks at Aldi’s for being willing to look out for the little guy during the holiday season.
