Modern design and technology have no doubt helped us and made our lives easier in so many ways. However, every once in a while, there’s a product design that truly boggles the mind. From eyesore to downright dangerous, here’s a list of the top 10 most uncomfortable products ever created. Do you own any of these?
Acrylic Nail Covers
Now, I don’t know about you, but when I spend the money to get my nails done, the last thing I want to do is cover them up. Especially if I’m covering them up with weird fingertip-like rubber caps. This product was originally designed to protect acrylic nails and make it easier to type. I would think this product would make it harder to type, but hey, what do I know?
Avocado Stick
No, this isn’t avocado deodorant, though it would be understandable for you to think that, considering the design. I’m afraid this is something much worse; it’s Avocado Stick. That’s right. It’s literally a stick of Avocado. Why, you ask? Good question. It’s a product trying to ride the popularity wave of avocado everything, but it’s safe to say it missed the mark.
Denture Flash Drive
I… I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I mean, first of all, why? Follow-up question, how did this product ever come to fruition? How many people approved of this disturbingly and anatomically correct set of teeth that also happens to contain a thumb drive? Lastly, is there anyone currently using this product? Actually, I don’t want to know the answers. In fact, I’d just as soon forget something like this exists at all.
Neck Pillow
I struggle to call this a neck pillow, but what else would you call this? “Face plant pillow?” How about, “Weird device that somehow manages to make you, the passengers in your row, and the passenger behind you uncomfortable?” Neither of those product names managed to get the thumbs up from the marketing team. Wonder why. Probably because if they told people exactly what they were getting themselves into, they wouldn’t be purchasing this product! Here’s to hoping we never sit next to someone who brought one of these “neck pillows” on board!
The Worst Gloves Ever
Now, I’m all for finding new and creative uses for everyday objects, but underpants on your hands? These “Handerpants” are supposedly designed to go under your regular gloves to keep your hands extra warm. It’s supposed to be funny – like underwear for your hands – but let’s face it. This is just creepy.
Arguably worse than “Handerpants” are the Croc gloves. Or, rather, the knockoff Croc gloves. I have no idea what purpose this product was supposed to serve, and I’ll never find out. The inventor of these gloves got a cease and desist order from the Croc company.
Disturbing Brush
If you thought the hairbrush was already a pretty solid invention, then you obviously haven’t tried this hairbrush made of weird plastic fingers! Strangely enough, of all the products on this list, I can kind of see what the designer was going for. I mean, it feels nice when someone plays with your hair, or maybe you’re like me and love getting your hair washed when at the solon. But what if you could give yourself a scalp massage or play with your own hair? I mean, you already can, but what if it was 1000x creepier? Presenting: weird plastic finger brush. Brilliant.
