Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

When this wedding guest decided to share a unique requirement from the ceremony that they just attended, the internet was left in hysterics.

Once you see what the big ask was, you are sure to understand why. @kellikeylimepie (as she is known on TikTok) gave the audience at home a sneak peek at her wedding invitation and we are beside ourselves. How could a couple even ask for this?

She did her best not to reveal any details that would identify the couple but the damage was already done. There were two rules that she wanted everyone to check out and we cannot stop laughing. For starters, the couple clearly expected their guests to be the ones to pay for their own meals. We have never heard of such a thing.

Clearly, no one else had, either. The commentary on this one has been top tier and we cannot stop laughing to save our lives.

“We get it. You blew all your $$$ on a wedding…” the text caption on the video reads and we are inclined to agree. The couple even lays it out plainly, in case there was any doubt that this is what they were asking for.

“Please understand that you are obligated to pay for your own meal,” the note reads. The couple was even gutsy enough to ask for cash gifts instead of the typical wedding presents. No toasters for them, please. Cold, hard cash only! As you would expect in this type of instance, the comments were chock full of fury and we are right there with these people.

“If you can’t afford to have a wedding & pay for your guests, then either don’t invite so many people or just have a wedding with immediate family,” said one viewer. We agree with them 100 percent. This is a ludicrous thing to ask for and they should have had a quiet ceremony at the courthouse if this is where they are at financially.

In fact, this is exactly what one viewer had to say. “I was married at a courthouse. I’m not paying more for another person’s wedding than I paid for my own!” they exclaimed.

The sheer entitlement that is on display here is out of hand and we hope that they got a serious reality check when many of their loved ones didn’t bother to show. There is no way in the world that we are coming to a wedding, paying for our own meals and handing out cash to top it all off!
