When we are at the grocery store, we tend to make certain assumptions. Coffee filters are only used to assist those of us who need a morning caffeine boost, right? Well, it turns out there are other methods for getting the most out of coffee filters!

For starters, they are sure to freshen up your fridge with ease. Don’t keep wasting entire boxes of baking soda on these sorts of tasks. Instead of going with the old baking soda hack, you can create an anti-smell pouch with your coffee filters. Put 2 or 3 tablespoons in the pouch, tie it off with a rubber band, and you are good to go. The nasty scents should be eliminated entirely.

You can also save a small fortune on dryer sheets. Take the coffee filter and soak it in vinegar. The antibacterial properties of vinegar definitely come in handy here. Put some essential oils in, if you would like to change the scent. Wring the solution out of the filter and you now have some of the best dryer sheets that you will ever use. Paper towels can even be subbed out for the coffee filter here.
But there are those who will claim that the coffee filter actually works better than the paper towel. We are not going to weigh in on the battle, but it’s basically a toss-up if you ask us.
