When we think about untimely clogs in our home, the toilet often comes to mind. It’s not like there is anything else that we need to be worrying about, is there? Unfortunately, there are other clogs that can arise during the moments when we least expect them to. Once these clogs take place, there is nothing left to do but to call an expensive plumber who can get in there and fix the problem.

While this is the conventional wisdom, you do not have to live this way. With this helpful how-to, you are going to develop the type of plumbing knowledge that will save you annoying (and costly) phone calls. It all starts by learning more about the most common culprits for those other clogs that we do not consider on a daily basis.

There are two areas of the sink that are especially susceptible to clogging. The top of the sink is an obvious candidate, but the trap (which is the looped part of your pipe beneath the sink) is another issue that has to be contended with.
