If you are someone who loves the idea of spending a night in a spooky house, this is your perfect chance.

This is one of the most unsettling homes that we have come across in our entire lives. The British are wild for this one. Plane Castle, a 14th-century building, is drawing a lot of attention now.

Can you believe that guests at this home actually sleep with axes hanging over their heads? It sounds like something out of a Final Destination movie. We would be sleeping with one eye open or not at all if we are being totally honest. This location remains a popular getaway for those who enjoy a good thrill, though.

We are not sure what these people are trying to prove but more power to them. You will not catch us sleeping in any location that requires us to remain in the presence of axes.

This castle is shockingly well chronicled, however. A variety of royal figures have stopped by over the years, including Mary Queen of Scots and Prince Charles himself.

There are all sorts of flourishes that you would expect to see in a house like this one, too. Spiral staircases? Check. Painted beamed ceilings? Check. Rooms with thick walls and stone vaults? You bet.

The creepy house is nothing if not spacious, with seven bedrooms that contain 14 beds and six bathrooms to choose from. There are even some Jane Seymour portraits on hand, to add to that ancient feeling. We’re already creeped out.

This location is situated in the Scottish town of Falkirk, in case you were about to book a plane ticket or two.
