Toddler Goes On $1700 Furniture Shopping Spree With Mom’s Phone

Most parents recognize that it is important to limit how much time a child spends on the phone or other electronic devices. At the same time, however, it is a convenience that can’t be denied.

It’s a balancing act that all parents have to go through and at times, it may have negative consequences. That’s what recently happened in New Jersey when somebody’s child was playing on their phone and ended up buying some furniture.

This wasn’t just a one-off deal, they ended up making $1700 worth of purchases. Interestingly, they had just moved into another home and the mother was in the process of looking at furniture.

According to news12 The Bronx, it seems as if the youngster only finished what she started, as the furniture was already in the shopping cart.

The child, Ayaansh, is not quite two years old and loves playing with the phone. In this particular case, however, things didn’t go well. They didn’t even notice at first.

It wasn’t long, however, before the deliveries started showing up on their front porch. Just a few moments of indiscretion on the part of the parent and a single click by the child and everything was bought and paid for.

The mother said to the news outlet: “The first person came with the box and he put it next to the door. The second person came, then first step, then second step then third, it was a queue.”

Out of everything that was purchased, about 75% has already been delivered. Fortunately, Walmart is playing nice and they are going to refund the family for anything that was purchased by the child.

The family is also a little smarter at this point and plans on adding passwords to their phone and removing any information, such as their credit card information.
