Children love tie-dye and they love to spend time with their parents. It’s one of the easiest arts and crafts projects that you can do at your own home. Now that summer is here and schools have had their doors closed for some time now, parents who are stuck in the house with their children are dealing with some serious cabin fever.

It can be hard to keep the kids entertained all summer long, that is for sure. Any parent who has ever had to ride out a summer vacation before can definitely attest to this one. We can only watch the same DVDs and play with the same Legos so many times.

Kids also like activities that provide them tangible results. It teaches them how to work together with others, in pursuit of a common goal.

And don’t worry about cleaning up a big mess. The child’s hands are not going to change color, either. You can utilize the classic tie-dye method and grab some fabric dyes that are easily wipeable. Meanwhile, there are those who are going to want to try their hand when it comes to the bleach tie-dye method that is currently gaining in popularity.
