If you have kids at home (and even if you do not), you will have probably experienced the annoyances that are associated with constant grocery shopping. It can feel like you’re in the store multiple times each week.

With the way that food prices are rising, lots of parents are dreading these trips. It feels like groceries are only getting more expensive every single time that we step outside.

In addition to the high costs, we cannot stand all of the time and effort that we have to put in. It is an annoying task, no matter how you decide to slice it.

This very frugal mother of five has found a way to put a stop to these headaches. When she starts to explain her methods in a YouTube video, we are amazed. We can hardly believe what she has to say. Tabitha Kelley, who has a YouTube channel called This Mama’s House, is the one who is here to share her eye-catching grocery shopping plans. She claims to only go twice a year!

According to her, she buys six months’ worth of items during each trip, so that she is not going back and forth on such a regular basis. She’s a stay at home mother who lives in the UK and relies on Costco for her shopping needs. We could have guessed based on the shopping strategy that she claims to deploy but of course, we digress.

How does this plan actually work? It takes a lot of work but she is very happy because it keeps her out of the store for most of the year.

“As a busy mom of five grocery shopping is a WHOLE CHORE (I know you can relate) so that is why I love to stock up and shop at Costco once or twice a year,” she says. “These hauls last us anywhere between six to eight months. So we shop at Costco once or twice a year and that’s just how we like to do it,” she continues.

If you would like to see how this is even possible, you are definitely going to want to check out her video below:
