When Mexican pizza disappeared from the Taco Bell menu in November 2020, people were quite upset about it. It seems as if that pizza was a fan favorite, but they would have to wait to enjoy it again.

Not only were people upset over the disappearance of the Mexican pizza from Taco Bell, but there was also a video set to appear on TikTok about the subject and Dolly Parton was involved! That video has yet to appear because the pizza is back again.

Dolly Parton, who absolutely loves the Taco Bell Mexican Pizza tweeted about the return, saying: “My favorite little pizza has finally returned home.”

People were so excited about the return of this beloved food that they rushed to the restaurant and in less than two weeks, Taco Bell was out of the ingredients.

In fact, it was reported by Livingmas that they probably sold 1 million more of the pizzas then they expected.

Taco Bell also had something to say about this on their FAQ page. When Mexican Pizza fans were unable to order them at their local Taco Bell restaurant, they posted this:

“Our fans’ love is all consuming, and they’re consuming all the Mexican Pizzas. Demand for the Mexican Pizza was seven times higher than when it was last on menus, and replenishing the beloved menu item is taking longer than we’d like

Shortages of the Mexican Pizza were unexpected, and have occurred on a rolling basis. We communicated the news to our team members first to ensure they had all of the information and support they’d need to continue serving our guests in our restaurants.”

Although they may be out of the ingredients now, it is not going to last forever. On May 31, Taco Bell announced that the beloved pizzas will be back on the menu and would likely stay at that point.

You might also be curious about the TikTok project starring Dolly pardon. That satire clip, which was “based on the true story of the Internet losing its mind” is hopefully going to be rescheduled at a later date, according to Taco Bell.
