Use Dry Herbs

While we love to use fresh herbs every chance we can, slow cooker meals are the one exception. Dried herbs do best when they are cooked over a slow period of time, which makes them the easy winners for slow cooker meals. It’s a win-win, because dried herbs are much easier to toss into the pot, making your slow cooker meal that much easier. That’s not to say you can’t use fresh herbs in your slow cooker – just add them in towards the end, otherwise they will shrivel up and there will be nothing left when it comes time to serve!
